Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the Basegrid website, workspace, APIs and SketchUp extension. By using Basegrid, you agree to them.

1. Closed beta

Basegrid is currently a pre-release service available by invitation. Features may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn as the product develops. We will use reasonable care in operating the service and communicating material changes to affected beta customers.

2. Your account and workspace

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials and connection tokens secure, and promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Workspace owners are responsible for inviting users and managing their access. You may use Basegrid only for lawful business purposes and must not interfere with the service or another customer’s data.

3. Your data

You keep ownership of the information, models, materials, rates and other content you put into Basegrid. You give us permission to host, process and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service. Our handling of personal information is described in the privacy policy.

4. Construction decisions

Basegrid assists with modelling, takeoff and estimating. Its output may be incomplete or wrong and is not engineering, architectural, quantity-surveying or other professional advice. You are responsible for checking models, quantities, rates, specifications and compliance before relying on them for pricing, procurement or construction.

5. Integrations

Basegrid can connect to SketchUp, AI assistants and other third-party services. Those services have their own terms and may change independently. You are responsible for the accounts and permissions you grant to them and can revoke Basegrid connection tokens from your workspace.

6. Availability and liability

We do not promise uninterrupted availability during the closed beta. To the extent permitted by Australian law, Basegrid is supplied without warranties beyond guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Ending use

You may stop using Basegrid at any time. A workspace owner may request an export or deletion by following the process on the support page. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect customers or the service, investigate misuse, or comply with law.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the beta develops. We will post the revised terms here and communicate material changes to affected customers. Questions can be sent to hello@basegrid.com.au.
